While hiding out from the post-Accords fallout in some quiet little back-water town, Wanda starts getting weird dreams where she finds herself standing in a dark abyss, and she can hear or sometimes see a strange child somewhere in the distance. However, she always seems to wake up before she can call out or follow her. After a few nights of this, Wanda decides to go in search of the child.
Unbeknownst to her, Eleven is having similar dreams of her own, where she can catch glimpses of Wanda but always wakes up before she can find out who it is, and also decides to search her out.
Due to the telekinesis, the two of them are able to vaguely sense one another, and use that to eventually stumble across each other in person.
They're both a little nervous and distrustful at first, but once they push into one another's thoughts it doesn't take long for them to realize just how much they have in common and quickly get attached.
They decide that it would probably be best for them both to hang out together for protection.
(Honestly I just kind of want Wanda deciding to adopt the mini version of herself, and the two of them subsequently deciding "hey we're going to be sisters now.")
