OP here, omg, this was beyond perfection! The way it started as playing, pretending to be people they’re not, how confused Steve is, how sure Bucky is, holy shit! The thrill of pretty heels and a billowing skirt- I’m a 6’1" woman with shoulders from hell and there is something so incredibly powerful and freeing about feeling airy and admired and pretty, when you’re usually not. Steve’s thrill that in this way, his body shspe works for him.

And the internalized homophobia was there, sure, but so clearly not something that comes from Steve, because it’s so beautiful when he’s with Bucky, it’s not at all how people say it is, and oh, that Bucky goes down on him is such a great nod to him acknowledging and being attracted to Steve as a man, not just as a pretty dame in a pretty dress, it was the perfect way to end it!

God, this is everything I dreamed of and more! Any chance of it being on AO3 so K can bookmark the crap out if it? :D
